The capital's manufacturing industries increased their turnover by 4.8%

The turnover of the city's manufacturing industries, excluding the oil and gas sector, increased by 4.8% in comparable prices in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year and amounted to 3.7 trillion rubles. This was announced by Maria Bagreeva, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, head of the Moscow Department of Economic Policy of the city.

"The manufacturing industry is one of the drivers of Moscow's economy. This is a whole range of industries, from the creation of high—tech equipment and electronics to the production of everyday goods such as clothing, shoes, and groceries. Enterprises in this industry provide stable revenues to the city budget and create jobs for qualified specialists. In the first half of 2025, the turnover of the manufacturing industry, excluding the oil and gas sector, reached 3.7 trillion rubles, 4.8% higher than in the same period of 2024 in comparable prices. Almost 13% of this volume, or 468 billion rubles, was provided by the food industry," the deputy mayor noted. 

Manufacturers of high—tech products — computers, electronic and optical products - accounted for 9.5% of industry turnover (351 billion rubles), the pharmaceutical industry — eight percent (295.6 billion rubles).

Enterprises producing non-metallic mineral products (products made of concrete, cement, lime, gypsum, glass, ceramics) earned 229.2 billion rubles— which is 6.2% of turnover. They became the growth leaders in the first half of 2025: their turnover increased 2.8 times. Furniture factories increased revenue by 62%, to 32.8 billion rubles. Clothing manufacturers increased their turnover by 34%, to 114 billion rubles. Organizations specializing in chemical products increased by 37%, to 202.7 billion rubles.

Small enterprises showed significant growth rates: in the first half of the year, their turnover increased by 10.8% in comparable prices and amounted to more than one trillion rubles, which is 28% of the industry's turnover. Large and medium-sized enterprises increased revenue by 2.7%, to 2.7 trillion rubles. This is 72% of the turnover of the capital's manufacturing industries.

The capital's manufacturing industry accounts for 10.1% of the entire Russian industry (excluding the oil and gas sector).
