More than 113 thousand contracts with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses have been concluded on the Supplier Portal since the beginning of the year

From January to August of this year, Moscow customers signed more than 113 thousand contracts with representatives of small and medium-sized businesses for the amount of more than 21 bln rubles on the portal of suppliers. This was reported by Maria Bagreeva, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Head of the Moscow Department of Economic Policy and Development.

«The Supplier Portal gives small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) the opportunity to offer goods, works and services to the capital's customers. The city concludes more than 80% of contracts on the portal with SMEs. From January to August of this year city customers signed over 113 thousand contracts with them. The volume of purchases exceeded 21 bln rubles which is five percent more than for the same period last year. The most actively capital customers cooperate with suppliers from Moscow, Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Sverdlovsk, Rostov and Kaluga regions», — Maria Bagreeva told.

The catalog of goods, works and services offered by suppliers on the portal has over 2.8 mln unique items.

«Almost half of the purchases from SMEs are construction goods, services for maintenance, maintenance and repair of buildings, waste management, as well as medical and household goods, information technology equipment and software, communications equipment and electronics. In these categories from January to August contracts for more than nine billion rubles were signed», — said the head of the Moscow Department for Competition Policy Kirill Purtov.

Moscow develops actively cooperation with small and medium-sized businesses in the system of public procurement. For the last 20 years the annual volume of purchases from small and medium-sized businesses has grown more than 100 times and by the end of 2023 exceeded 400 bln rubles.

As the Moscow Department of Information Technologies noted, one of the most popular tools of the portal is the automatic bidding bot. It provides suppliers with an opportunity to participate in several quotation sessions simultaneously. Auto-bids allow entrepreneurs to optimize resources and participate more actively in procedures on the portal, and it allows customers to reduce the initial price of the contract during the quotation sessions, developing competition.

The Supplier Portal was created in 2013 to automate low-volume procurement. Now the platform is used by customers from 40 regions of Russia and over 340 thousand suppliers from all over the country. About 1.5 thousand contracts are concluded daily on the resource.

Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin noted that in the first six months of 2024, more than 310 thousand purchases were made on the portal which is 11% more than in the same period of 2023.

In order to support users, representative offices are being opened in Russian regions, where specialists teach how to work on the site, answer customers' and suppliers' questions, hold face-to-face meetings, and collect suggestions for developing the functionality and solving technical problems.
