The construction industry of the capital has saved 1.7 billion rubles thanks to the national project “Labor Productivity”.

Since the beginning of 2022, more than 80 enterprises working in the field of capital construction have joined the national project “Labor Productivity”. Half of them have already completed pilot projects and received a cumulative economic effect of 1.7 billion rubles. This was reported by Maria Bagreeva, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, head of the capital's Department of Economic Policy and Development.

“The construction industry plays a key role in the economic, social and infrastructural development of Moscow. One of the measures to support this sphere is the national project “Labor Productivity”. For two years 81 companies of the industry took part in it: 29 large developers and general contractors and 52 organizations producing construction, engineering and finishing materials. At the same time, 43 companies have already completed pilot projects and improved their production processes. They have reduced lead times by 35 percent, reduced excess inventory by 40 percent and improved operational efficiency by 53 percent. The economic effect from participation in the national project, according to the companies' own estimates, amounted to 1.7 billion rubles,” said Maria Bagreeva

Lean production tools applied by the participants of the national project allow eliminating losses in work processes, reducing the time required to perform standard operations and increasing the efficiency of resource and personnel utilization. As a result, productivity increases and costs decrease, which leads to optimization of the construction process and improvement of the quality of work performed.

For example, one of the project participants improved the process of monolithic works in residential and non-residential buildings. Experts helped the company to implement production analysis, standardize personnel activities and redistribute processes. This reduced the typical turnaround time for indoor monolithic work by 10 percent - it now takes 162 hours instead of 180. Output increased by 13 percent, from 0.46 to 0.52 cubic meters per person per shift.

Another company, which is the general contractor of the Moscow Residential Renovation Fund, subordinate to the capital's Department of Construction, has optimized the process of commissioning engineering systems and transferring apartments to the fund for occupancy. Thanks to the National Project, the time to complete the same type of work at one site has been reduced by 35 percent and is now about 32 days. Output increased by 47 percent. The economic effect amounted to 6.9 million rubles.

The National Project “Labor Productivity” is a measure of state support for business, which allows increasing the volume of output and reducing production costs without additional expenses. In Moscow, the national project has been implemented since the beginning of 2022. By the end of 2024, 419 enterprises will be able to take part in it.

Since 2022, the regional competence center subordinate to the capital's Department of Economic Policy and Development has been implementing the project in the capital. Applications for participation are accepted on the website of the national project operator in Russia with mandatory indication of the region (Moscow).

Within the framework of the national project “Labor Productivity” in the capital, the contest “Best Mentoring Practices of the City of Moscow - 2024” is held. You can apply for participation in it until June 28.
