Methodology

General information: The Russian regions are ranked in accordance with 59 indicators, which reflect how they implement 15 out of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Achievements in the areas of Sustainable Development Goal-7 (Ensure universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all) and Sustainable Development Goal-14 (Safe and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development) are not taken into account when calculating the ranking.
